About Me
I’m Nicola, I am from Australia and am currently based in Auckland, New Zealand.
I’m a game programmer with a background in both Unity and Unreal Engine.
I focus on game play and game systems programming and have experience with this in my previous roles through AI, narrative/dialogue and questing systems.
I am used to working with cross disciplinary teams and under production milestones and project deadlines.
I also have prior experience as a graphics programmer and technical artist, as a technical designer in Unreal and as a UX designer (I have a whole design degree for it after all).
I have worked on projects for PC, mobile and VR devices, as well as handled custom hardware devices providing input and output from the game play interaction.
My core coding languages are C++, C# and Python.
I have experience with:
-Yarn Spinner and Articy narrative systems.
-Unreal Gameplay Ability System (GAS)
-Unreal automated testing and asset validation systems.
-Unreal AI frameworks/plugins such as State Trees, Environment Queries and custom Nav Links.
-AWS user authentication/secure data storage systems and their Unity integration,
